Liturgical calendar

Liturgical Calendar Wt Bgd.png

The liturgical calendar is the calendar of church seasons, feast days, and special events, starting from four weeks before Jesus' birth (Advent) through the time after Pentecost (Ordinary Time).  The church calendar is laid out in The Book of Common Prayer, and entirely dependent on Easter.  The chart below illustrates the general times of the liturgical calendar, and what month they are generally in.
